At this week’s Yoga Pop-up classes, we embark on a journey of appreciation with the theme, “Ancestral Flow.”

As we practice, we’ll draw inspiration from our ancestral roots. Each session will incorporate flowing sequences and meditative moments that offer up gratitude to those that came before us, encouraging us appreciate where we came from and the people that helped shape our own journey. Join me for a Ancestral Flow experience that transcends the ordinary and taps into your roots.

The idea for this theme was inspired by a family reunion I enjoyed this past weekend, my yogi friend Duncan from Teacher Training, and a reimagining of a root-to-rise playlist that I did in Teacher Training with 3 other yogis (you know who you are!).

Ancestral Math

  • The North Star is 300 Light Years away
  • Assuming 30 years per generation
  • Equals 8 generations
  • Which adds up to 1024 people who had to come together to bring you into existence.
  • So you can now view the light of that distance start that was created when they were alive.

Fun Facts About Feet

  • 26 Bones
  • 33 Joints
  • 19 Muscles
  • 107 ligaments
  • Over 200.000 nerve endings
