Nestled within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Esch Road Beach is a peaceful stretch of shoreline along Lake Michigan. Located just 3 miles south of Empire on scenic M-22, the beach offers breathtaking views of Empire Bluffs and the gentle flow of Otter Creek as it meets the lake.

To reach the beach, drive west on Esch Road for about a mile to the paved parking area at the road’s end. A pit toilet is available, and a park pass is required for entry.

* Leashed dogs are welcome north of Esch Road up to the Lakeshore boundary in Empire. Pets are not allowed south of Esch Road, including the Otter Creek area, to protect wildlife habitats.
